So, Windows Live has a nice new homepage that feels slightly like the ask.com reboot from a while back. It has current events twist though. Instead of just a random background for your search page, how about something tied to a current event? For instance, the Olympics are happening right now; so, you receive a lovely image of a tennis player on Live.com. It’s a nice change from the usual spartan design of both Google.com and Search.Yahoo.com; but, once you click “Search” all the uniqueness dissipates and you’re left looking at the usual Blue-Green results page.
